dracut root does not exists after kernel upgrade

Post by Krillian » 2020/11/18 15:27:12

Hi everyone,

I've updated to the latest kernel, but after reboot get the following error. No hardware changes, this is a physical machine, not a VM (as you can probably tell from the picture).

Same thing if I try and boot into any other kernel. Rescue kernel does work however. I've tried what I've seen online such as dracut -f, but get the following error:

Code: Select all

dracut: Cannot find module directory /lib/modules/4.18.0-193.el8.x86_64/
dracut: and --no-kernel was not specified
Any help would be very much appreciated.
