There doesn't seem to be a delay there. This is the beginning of the log :

Code: Select all

[mar. nov. 17 13:10:04 2020] microcode: microcode updated early to revision 0xd6, date = 2020-04-27
[mar. nov. 17 13:10:04 2020] Linux version 4.18.0-193.19.1.el8_2.x86_64 (mockbuild@kbuilder.bsys.centos.org) (gcc version 8.3.1 20191121 (Red Hat 8.3.1-5) (GCC)) #1 SMP Mon

And it ends 30 seconds later like this :

Code: Select all

[mar. nov. 17 13:10:32 2020] eth0: renamed from veth0d582ca

The server company (OVH) replied after 2 weeks...

They offer a firmware update. But these 2 servers are already in production...

Is there a way to rollback a firmware update in case somthing goes wrong ? I don't really want to brick my freshly configured servers...

I am afraid that this is not the proper forum to find an answer on a question regarding rollback of a firmware update.
Perhaps you better ask that on a forum related to that brand/model of hardware.

The server provider says that they can rollback the firmware update but that I should backup my server :D

But I will pass. I won't bother updating the BIOS of a server already in production (they answered to my ticket two weeks later, thanks OVH).
