Hello,
I have been trying to setup X with two video cards: G96 Quadro FX580 and an RV380 Radeon X600. I can get the Nvidia card running without a problem. The ATI card always reports the following warning in the Xorg.0.log file: (WW) VESA: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:4:0:0) found. I have tried the vesa driver, the ATI proprietary driver, and the open source drivers. I have the following device section in my xorg.conf file:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard2"
Driver "vesa"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "ATI Radeon X600"
#BusID "PCI:4:0:0"
Screen 2
EndSection
And I have run it with BusID commented and uncommented, it does not make a difference. I'm lost on ideas.
I can't upgrade from 4.8 since this is a work PC.
Thanks
Dual video card setup

Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature.
Obsolete releases are not supported, and using two different drivers for different manufacturers' VGA hardware is generally problematic in any case.
Is your work aware that CentOS-4 reaches EOL in a matter of days?
