How to install centos-release package?

I am trying to install yum on my web server so that I can download libffi-dev following this tutorial https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/B ... alling_yum. I do not have centos-release, how do I find the package?

1. If you are looking for "centos-release" to get the repository definitions ... CentOS 8 has split the package.

2. CentOS 8.3 did rename the package(s). There are at least:
centos-linux-release
centos-linux-repos
