C7.8 was released 2020-04-27 and your link is from May.
Maybe an update to 7.9.2009 will include this fix?

Run yum update to get up to date:

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
