Re: Minimal ISO for CentOS 8
CentOS 8.2 was just released and you'll all be glad to hear that it finally includes a minimal iso.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

I find it rather humorous that you are correcting him on spelling using the word "spelt" which is not a word... proper word would be 'spelled' but yes, 'too' is proper. LOLisaacgossage wrote: ↑2020/06/10 07:17:47
As forfrom jabuzzardFrankly I would much rather that the CentOS team did not waste time doing an entirely pointless minimal install DVD to satisfy a small number of people who are entirely to cheap to live with a standard ISO.
Aside from the arrogance, just because you don't need a minimal install image does not mean that others do not. Oh and it's spelt "too" - "too cheap", not "to cheap".

Re: Minimal ISO for CentOS 8
I would just like ANY CentOS 8.2 image that actually works. I get missing package errors when installing from any image. I had to go back to the 8.1.1911 images to get a working system. LOL
Re: Minimal ISO for CentOS 8
I've used both the minimal so far and the full dvd image and both have worked. Is there an MD5 you can check your ISO against when you download?khuffmanjr wrote: ↑2020/07/03 15:14:25I would just like ANY CentOS 8.2 image that actually works. sha256sums are in both the release notes and in a text file located in the same directory that you obtained the iso image from.
