Ryzen 9 Support?!?

I am planning sometime next year to build a new workstation based around the New AMD Ryzen 9 3900x and the --probable -- new ASUS Prime X670 Pro. While the probable X670 chip set is not yet out has anyone built a rig on the ASUS Prime X570 Pro motherboard with a Ryzen 9 3900X or the Ryzen 9 3950X? CentOS 8.x is going to be the OS. Have you had any problems?!?

I'm running a 3700x on an Asus Prime X570-Pro. I installed CentOS 8 on it originally but I eventually went with Fedora 32. Mostly the reason for that was that MATE is not available for CentOS 8 and it's my DE of choice. However, the CentOS 8 kernel did not provide a k10temp module that recognised the 3700x so the lm_sensors output didn't tell me about chip temperatures. It also didn't show any information confirming that the 64GB ECC RAM that's installed was working in ECC mode. The Fedora 5.6.x kernel did all of those and also has MATE 1.24 included out of the box (well, a dnf group install "MATE Desktop" away).

It did boot and it did run with the CentSO 8.1 kernel but the rest of the distro is so lacking useful components that I did not use it.

Thanks TrevoH. Your rig sounds more-or-less what I'm planning complete with the 64 GB Ram. You also confirmed what I have suspected. SIGH!! I'm going to try 8.2 when it comes out, and hope it is better than 8.1. By the time my new rig gets built 8.3 should be out, but I might have to become reacquainted with Fedora as a backup plan. Left Fedora and moved to CentOS because I got tired of living on the "Bleeding Edge", and trust me I "bleed" more blood than I cared to.

I'll pass your words of wisdom onto to my buddy, as we will probably build a pair of twin computers, though right now I am simply buying parts when they go on sale. The motherboard and CPU will be the LAST two items that I'll purchase.
