CentOS host rebooting when unplug/plug AC

Post by chris90 » 2019/11/27 17:59:23

Hi,
I have a Lenovo L580 laptop running CentOS 7. Most of the time (but not always) that I unplug or plug the laptop to the AC, it reboots.
The messages can be seen in this picture that I took as the system reboots:

Here is also a brief overview of the hardware

Something doesn't smell right with that sequence of events. According to your screenshot it had crashed, taken a kdump and restarted the system within 5.395 seconds of booting up?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

I agree that it is strange. However, the timestamps are always the same, across different rebooting events.
