Adobe Flash plugin disappeard last night?

Post by amtrakuk » 2019/11/15 07:23:36

The Adobe Flash Plugin / Firefox appears to have gone this morning. I have checked in Plugins and its not showing, I tried to reinstall is says its already installed. I went as far as a rebuild, before any updates it was there, ran the updates and it disappeared. On a Fedora build it mentions the X11/Wayland update causes this so I tried editing the /etc/dgm/custom.conf file to disable wayland but this has not worked.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Seems to be the version of flash. I've replaced the plugin file (.so) in /us/lib64/.mozilla/plugins with the previous version and flash is showing up in Firefox plugins and working.

Does anyone know if there are any updates in the pipeline to fix the problem?

Flash comes from Adobe so you'd have to ask them
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
