Upgrading CentOS 6 to CentOS 7.
Hello,
I have a CentOS 6 web server and I want to know how can I sure that if I upgrade it to CentOS 7 then everything is OK?
Thanks.

Re: Upgrading CentOS 6 to CentOS 7.
There is no "upgrade". There is only "install".
People usually give an impression that they remove the old and then install new in its place. I prefer to install on the side (as multi-boot) so that both co-exists.
I presume that best practice is to first install a separate test server, where you verify that a copy of your website functions on the new platform as it should.

And just to be sure. No.
There is no upgrade from one CentOS major version to the next.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
