Good Day,
i just installed the current CentOS 8 with Gnome Version 3.28.2 and am wondering how i can remove the confirmation dialogue when shutting down my system.
if found these solutions which do not seem to work (anymore):
http://ubuntuguide.net/disable-60-secon ... -ubuntu904
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1057271 ... tion-timer
https://itsfoss.com/shutdown-dialogue-box-ubuntu-1404/
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
Remove shutdown confirmation Timer
Re: Remove shutdown confirmation Timer
Thanks for replying but i don't see how increasing the number of Keystrokes to shutdown the system from 4 (press Power button,right,right hit enter) to 10 is an improvement.
Maybe i was not precise enough with my question:
I want to hit my Power button and immediately shutdown my system without any further input.
My current workaround:
#!/bin/bash
shutdown -P now
saved in a script, made executable and bound to the shortcut key "super+s".
While this works, i still would like to have it on the Power key, after all this is what its for.
