I wanna do some tests in my Centos for ram and swap usage.
So how can i load my ram in Centos easily? Do you know guys?
In some unixs you can handle this just wit one command like; mkfile 4G /tmp/ramloadfile
But in Linux /tmp is not a directory which allocates from ram directly as i understood!

How to load Memory in Cent0S easily?

What is the purpose of doing that? If you want to test your RAM then use memtest86+ and leave it running for at least 12 hours, preferably for days.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Thanks Trevor but i wanna see ram to swap passing between so many swap devices instantaneously.
Just a test so memtest is not a good idea for me i think.

IIRC, the EPEL has a package named 'stress'.
