> 40. RH Linux 5 (1997/8) was my first GNU/Linux. Mostly a Fedora user nowadays, although I just found out I can use CentOS 7 at work for everything I need to do and I'm liking it a lot. So, I will be sticking around for a while (at least until they catch me :) )

HI,

I am 32 years of late. I have used CentOS for about 6 months now. At first I just downloaded the everything ISO and installed it on a VM. Now I built my own minimalist install from the ground up with KDE. Currently researching into using Wine and somehow installing Diablo 3 on my CentOS.

CENTOS ROCKS!

I've been using CentOS since CentOS 5

I've been using Red Hat since MKLinux DR3 - my first distro - which was a port of Red Hat 5.2 to the mach kernel on PPC - kernel 2.0 days.

Caldera OpenLinux 2.something was my first x86 distro, it was really bad compared to MKLinux DR3 so I went to Red Hat 6 after that experiment.

On the server, I always used Red Hat until CentOS 5.

On the desktop it was mostly Red Hat.

Played with Fedora after Red Hat switched but Fedora started to really annoy me, way too buggy at first release and by the time the bugs were fixed it was EOL and no longer receiving updates.

Played with Ubuntu and even started to like it until they violated my trust - I wanted to use the GIMP and so I used their integrated search thing to find it, and instead it sent me to an amazon search results with books about The GIMP - Ubuntu had clearly become Adware Linux and that was the last time I ever used it, wiped it from all my systems that day.

Been running CentOS on the desktop ever since, GNOME for CentOS 6 and MATE for CentOS 7 (I don't like GNOME 3, I really don't)
