A How-to on: Convert Minimal install to Server with GUI

Hello,

After many issues with my minimal install of server I decided to use a Server with GUI install.

To do this I used:

yum groupinstall "Server with GUI"

It added 800 plus packages and it satisfied all my needs for training since I have the best of both worlds.

Additionally:

After cli login and running startx I was always in GUI mode as root.

To change this I used this post:
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=47306

This set my GUI as default mode login, and then I was able to use my standard account to login and only my root account when needed.
