Issues CentOS 7

Post by juniorbnt » 2014/07/16 18:38:17

Hello Everyone,

My topic is about the new CentOS Version (7)

I want install it, but I have any doubts about the version that I want it to be solved before I begin the installation.

* Its is good? Can I install with no worries?
* There is any issue that I have to know?
* If this isn't a good version, please send me a list of the versions that could be installed on my server.

Thanks for your attention

Yes it's good but it has been out about a week so there are bound to be some teething problems and if you are used to CentOS then there are significant differences from older releases and the learning curve may be quite steep.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Version 6.5 is much more mature and will be supported until the year 2020, it might make a better choice unless there is something specific that makes you use the newer version 7.
