How to get the LDAP Software to link to Linux Server

Post by texmansru47 » 2008/09/09 15:55:26

I have load the CentOS 4.X version Server and it is wonderful.

I have LDAP working and on the ldapadmin I can see and manage it... but I cannot manage it from webmin. Nor can I authenticate any user via the LDAP server. I read somewhere the this may be because of my ca.pem failed are either non-existance OR they are in the wrong place. However it is not tell me where the corect place would be.

Currently I have the following Certs loaded (and their directory is listed):

[root@main certs]# ls -al
total 300
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jul 27 04:42 .
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Jul 27 04:42 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 249373 Nov 18 2007 ca-bundle.crt
-rw------- 1 root root 1464 Jun 19 16:08 dovecot.pem
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 610 Nov 18 2007 make-dummy-cert
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1832 Nov 18 2007 Makefile
-rw-r----- 1 root ldap 2352 Jun 19 16:08 slapd.pem
[root@main certs]# pwd
/usr/share/ssl/certs

Now do I have the correct files and are they in the correct location? This is my first venture with Linux LDAP so I'm a bit confused on the different variatons of where files can be listed.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks :hammer:
