Unrecognized URL scheme on svn command

Post by abaam » 2011/10/06 04:11:51

Hi i got a problem.. i hope you can help me..

i do this command -> svn co http://svn.gnewsense.svnhopper.net/gnewsense/builder/trunk builder
Error -> svn: Unrecognized URL scheme for 'http://svn.gnewsense.svnhopper.net/gnewsense/builder/trunk'

According from other forum they said
i need to remove this one "/usr/local/bin/svn"
so do the command -> sudo rm /usr/local/bin/svn

I command $ svn co http://localhost/svn/tubescraper tubescraper --username saeed
I got this error bash: /usr/local/bin/svn: No such file or directory

Then they said do this "Bash has hashed the last location it used for svn. Either start a new shell (e.g. by opening a new terminal), or type hash -r"

Still I got this error bash: /usr/local/bin/svn: No such file or directory.

Now I need to put this "/usr/local/bin/svn" back again. I don't how

Help please thank you very much in advance

Since you have removed svn, you will have to reinstall it.
How did you install it the first time?
Did you try to install it again?

Nothing CentOS supplied will put binaries in /usr/local so your copy of svn came from outside of the yum repositories for CentOS 4.

That guide says to install subversion using `yum install subversion mod_dav_svn` but this would not install svn in /usr/local/bin/svn unless you did not configure yum-priorities correctly and it picked it up from a non-standard repo
