Welcome to the CentOS fora. Reading FAQ & Readme First is recommended for new users.

Try a google on mythtv live streaming and the packages available from ATrpms. Please, for the sake of the stability of your system, do the recommended reading before embarking on this project.

Viewcast doesn't officially support Linux. They only offer Windows drivers. Rather than banging your head against the wall, your options are to install the card on a Windows box or choose another vendor for your steaming media/capture card.

C'est la vie.

That is news to me. The last time I looked, Viewcast only supported windows for this card. Surely Viewcast must have some recommended Linux-friendly software to work with their card if they're supporting Linux drivers now. (don't hold your breath) Probably best to go directly to the source and ask Viewcast.

I can't offer any direct help due to lack of experience in this area - my last foray into TV/Video-capture was some years ago; however, you might better find help on the lists of repos that support multimedia, such as ATrpms or RPMforge.

It would be best to start a new topic with an appropriate subject for a new question, rather than hijacking your own thread with a related but different question. Hiding the question in the old thread will decrease the chances of getting an answer.

Both ATrpms and RPMforge have ffmpeg packages. I cannot find any ffserver package available, but ffmpeg is described as a server. A yum search turns up:
Non-core repos should have a higher numeric value, which is a lower priority. Lower is "better" as in golf scores.
