How to configure Centos5 for allowing connections on port 44

Post by sam207 » 2013/10/01 09:03:15

Hi there,
Does anyone have a walkthrough for setting up access to a virtual server on Centos5?
I have the website working correctly when browsing to http (port 80) but if you enter https (port 443) I get the following:
This connection is untrusted:
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to (IP address here), but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

When I check the Technical details it states:
(ip address here) uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:,

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

I have checked SSL validators and they all tell me the SSL certificate is installed correctly for the domain name. But when you browse to the https:// it returns the IP address and the Untrusted Connection warning.

I have done a number of searches for answers to the issue I have with my Virtual server, but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
