How to apply pam_faillock

Post by afewgoodman » 2021/01/21 05:42:15

Hi,

I am migrating CentOS7 system to CentOS8. So, I am trying to migrate pam settings for password and system.

In CentOS8, faillock setting can be seen on the system-auth and password-auth on the /etc/pam.d.
By the way, I do not know how to generate these files with authselect.

autoconfig was used to in CentOS7.

Can you let me know how I can archive it?

BR.

pam_faillock uses /etc/security/faillock.conf for configuration. The file is well commented.

All authselect commands that make changes have the -b/--backup option.
