ixgbe (latest) driver panic

Post by wpower » 2022/03/01 22:26:14

Does anyone know if the latest Intel ixgbe driver (5.13.4) is supported with 9-Stream.
I get a kernel panic when using the ixgbe driver with the 5.10.75 series kernel.

Server NIC Intel i350.

Since CentOS Stream 9 is effectively a beta of a beta (RHEL 9.0 is not out yet and probably won't be until the RH Summit in May), I would suggest that you report the problem to RH and see if it can be fixed before release.

For information on filing bugs against CentOS Linux or CentOS Stream please see https://wiki.centos.org/ReportBugs
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
