VM (Cockpit) not able to communicate between them

Post by b@b@ » 2020/11/17 16:12:19

Hi,

CentOS Linux 8.2.2004
Linux 4.18.0-193.28.1.el8_2.x86_64 on x86_64
Cockpit 3.1.el8

I have 3 vm (1 x Server 2016 - 2 x Windows 10 Enterprise)

I'm able to connect and ping to them from my laptop but i'm not able to ping between them

Thank you for your help

The VM's can't ping each other? How is the network set up?

How is the network set up in the defintion of the *VM*?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

All VM's have their virtual NIC directly connected to the one physical NIC of the host?

Is that even possible?
(Definitely yes, with assigning a SR-IOV VF for each guest, but I doubt that is the case here.)
