Configure automatic DHCP on boot

Post by kumara_vikas » 2020/04/10 21:52:09

I have CentOS 8 on my PC with enp5s0.
I have tried to set up enp5s0 to automatically connect and DHCP on boot, it does not works Manually running enp5s0 allows the interface to acquire an IP address normally but this does not happen automatically.
The config file is standard. Any suggestions to make it work?

First, find out the name of connection. It could be "enp5s0" or something else.

Code: Select all

nmcli c s
Then, look at that connection:

Code: Select all

nmcli c s name-of-connection
What are are values of fields connection.autoconnect, ipv4.method, and ipv6.method?
