[solved] Nextcloud on C8

Post by MartinR » 2020/03/04 10:52:50

Does anyone know if Nextcloud is likely to be ported to EPEL8? Is there anywhere I can check to see progress?

Thanks

EPEL requests are handled in the Fedora EPEL section of bugzilla.redhat.com

Thanks, that's the pointer I needed. It appears that after a period of dormancy Nextcloud is being maintained on Fedora. There is an outstanding request for a move to EPEL but it "dependency qtkeychain-qt5-devel is still missing on EPEL8".

At least, rclone and rclone-browser are already in EPEL and can substitute Nextcloud client to some extent.

Thanks SML, but it's the server function that I'm working on.

FYI, qtkeychain-qt5-devel is only necessary to build nextcloud-client. Nextcloud server is written in PHP and has no dependencies on Qt whatsoever. You can easily rebuild it from Fedora .src.rpm if you want.
