We are facing build and runtime issues while upgrading our system/product from Kernel-3.14.57 (CentOs 5.4) to Kernel-5.4.61smp (CentOS 8.2).

Basically we are facing issues when we are trying to compile/execute the custom module in Kernel-5.4.61smp (CentOS 8.2).

Can any one help us :)

There is no upgrade path from one CentOS version to another. You must reinstall a fresh system. Also, neither of those look like CentOS at all. We do not and never have supplied any kernel with those naming conventions so you need to ask the people who supplied them for help.

CentOS 5 used a 2.6.18-xxx.y.x.el5 series of kernels when it was a live product. It's been dead for over 3.5 years now.

CentOS 8 uses a 4.18.0-xxx.y.z.el8 series of kernels.

Yours are neither of those.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!

CentOS 5 is dead, do not use it.
