CentOS 8 + USB DisplayLink monitor

Post by Honza94 » 2020/08/19 13:01:40

Hello everyone,

I am currently struggling with DisplayLink Monitor (USB) which is attached to my computer with CentOS 8. When the PC is turned off and my monitor plugged in, after I turn on the computer the monitor stays off. When I hit "lsusb" I can clearly see the device attached but for some reason inactive. In order to activate it I have to unplug it and then plug it back in.

That is the first and most important issue.

The second issue is with a refresh rate, it seems to be incorrect and whenever the second USB monitor is active, the screen is not refreshing properly leaving various artifacts on screen.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you need any information, please don't hesitate to ask.

Which DE/WM? And do you use Wayland or Xorg?
