You'd probably need to report the fix to Red Hat via bugzilla.redhat.com and if you include the patch file there to make life easier for the maintainer then it's probably more likely to be considered by them. Once they patch RHEL and release the fix then CentOS will rebuild.
CentOS 6 died in November 2020 - migrate to a new version!
