Techwell drivers

Post by LaberLu » 2020/03/05 14:06:47

Hello, I installed a minimal CentOS 8.1 on a computer with video capture cards. The chips are from Techwell and it should be working with the tw68 driver: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/tree/ ... a/pci/tw68

This driver is missing, how can I install it? I am new to CentOS and expected it to work based on the kernel version.

Neither CentOS 7 nor 8 include the tw68 module. You couyld ask ELRepo if they would be willing to package it as a kmod or you could ask if it's possible to enable it in the CentOS Plus kernel but it may depend on when it was added to the mainline linux kernel.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!

CentOS 5 is dead, do not use it.
