Found my first issue with CentOS Stream. Now what do I do?

I actually made the switch to Stream before the "announcement", so I won't go down that road. The latest update to gdm-3.28.3-35.el8.x86_64 on Stream switched all server GPUs to Wayland and that causes all kinds of issues with my Dell T430 and mgag200 GPU. (USB goes berserk or dead with keyboard and mouse, gnome-session spikes in CPU all the time) film plus

Code: Select all

    * Tue Nov 10 2020 Jonas Ådahl  - 3.28.3-35

    - Stop disabling Wayland for server GPUs

    Related: #1670273
So should I report this as a bug here: https://bugs.centos.org/my_view_page.php and what are the chances it will get fixed? I tried, but the versions to report against are CentOS beetv.onl release.

Now what?

BTW, yes I disabled Wayland manually in /etc/gdm/custom.conf to get my system back to working.

Don't use bugs.c.o, it's for 7 only now.

For information on filing bugs against CentOS Linux or CentOS Stream please see https://wiki.centos.org/ReportBugs
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
Use the FAQ Luke
