CentOS 9 sound support Realtek

Post by ron7000 » 2022/10/25 04:30:19

I have two separate SSD's, one having CentOS-7.9 and the other having CentOS-9. My pc is an ASROCK Z170A-X1/3.1.
It has RealTek Audio which is what my two desktop speakers are connected to that I use.
Also installed is an NVIDIA RTX2080, and Nvidia High Definition Audio shows up also (in windows 10 anyway)

In CentOS 7.9 under Settings-Sound for output I have two choices- nvidia via displayport to my monitor which has a speaker and that will work, or I choose Line Output which will put sound successfully through my desktop speakers... to play pandora for example or youtube.

In CentOS 9 it seems like I have zero audio support, can someone let me know what I might be missing? Again, same hardware works for v7.9 but not v9. Here is a screenshot from CentOS 9 what I am seeing, no choices for output device and at best I see a "null" when I click on TEST for output device. :
