Is the correct module enabled?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Do you have the appstream repo enabled?

Yes shure

cat CentOS-Stream-AppStream.repo
# CentOS-Stream-AppStream.repo
#
# The #mirrorlist system uses the connecting IP address of the client and the
# update status of each mirror to pick current mirrors that are geographically
# close to the client. You should use this for CentOS updates unless you are
# manually picking other mirrors.
#
# If the #mirrorlist does not work for you, you can try the commented out
# baseurl line instead.

[appstream]
name=CentOS Stream $releasever - AppStream
#mirrorlist=http://#mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$stream&arch=$basearch&repo=AppStream&infra=$infra
baseurl=http://mirror.nsc.liu.se/centos-store/8 ... am/Source/
#baseurl=http://vault.centos.org/$contentdir/$st ... search/os/
gpgcheck=0
enabled=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-centosofficial

but my request dfn install idm does not return anything ?

I don't understand why my deposit is correct but doesn't return anything

The baseurl that you have hard coded there is not a correct mirror. I see only source packages and repodata on http://mirror.nsc.liu.se/centos-store/8 ... am/Source/ - most likely this is the correct content but you have the wrong URL.

Comment the baseurl= that you have there now as it is wrong and points to a Source repo. Uncomment the mirrorlist= line and let that point you to a real mirror. If you need one specific mirror so that you can allow it through your firewall (not recommended but has to be done sometimes) then grab one of the mirrors that mirrorlist returns and hard code that as a baseurl.
