dnf update: Nothing provides cups-libs(x86-64)

Hi,

I'm trying to update my Centos 8 Stream system. However when updating cups-client to version 1:2.2.6-42.el8.x86_64 the update fails with the following error:

Problem: cannot install the best update candidate for package cups-client-1:2.2.6-41.el8.x86_64
- nothing provides cups-libs(x86-64) = 1:2.2.6-42.el8 needed by cups-client-1:2.2.6-42.el8.x86_64
(try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)

I have these repositories enabled:
CentOS Stream 8 - AppStream
CentOS Stream 8 - BaseOS
CentOS Stream 8 - Extras

I suspect the package should be available in the BaseOs repository. But for some reason it isn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is not a known issue and it apparently works for others so I suggest running dnf clean all then try again. Most likely a not completely updated mirror.

I suspect you're right because the list of uninstallable packages has just changed. Running dnf clean all and dnf update --refresh have not resolved the issue though. I guess I will have to wait for the mirror to catch up.
