This is my first post. I have searched and did not find any details on this matter. Perhaps this question exposes my gap in knowledge for Centos 8 streams and how updates are obtained.
There is a vulnerability identified
Centos Linux: CVE-2021-3520: Moderate: lz4 security update (CESA-2021:2575)
Why are there no updates for Centos 8 Streams given this has been resolved in RHEL since June 29 (3+ weeks later).
Thanks in advance
RPM Delays
Re: RPM Delays
I see http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-strea ... x86_64.rpm in the yum repos and
rpm -qp --changelog http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-strea ... x86_64.rpm | less shows
rpm -qp --changelog http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-strea ... x86_64.rpm | less shows
Code: Select all
* Fri May 07 2021 Jakub Martisko <jamartis@redhat.com> - 1.8.3-3
- Fix memory corruption due to an integer overflow
_ Resolves: CVE-2021-3520
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
