Slow server when disconnected from Internet

Post by Amatøren » 2021/05/13 12:44:12

Hi

Have installed CentOS 8 on an old PC.

Works OK on my home network but when it is use in an isolated network without Internet connection lots of functions are very slow. Phpmyadmin are very slow.

Installed:

MariaDB
Phpmyadmin
Apache
Php

Any tip...? 🤔

Are you pointing to a working dns nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

/etc/resolv.conf?
Great, that solved the problem.
Pointing to Google name server (8.8.8.8).
Comment out now.

Thank you both for tip.
