Fresh/new installation. Factory defaults - RAM 4096, HD 20GB. From two different mirrors. The minimal ISO file issues:

1. ISSUE: Problems in request
1.1 If you click "no", then it terminates installation -> server shoes "terminated" and halts.
1.2 If you click "yes" installation continues...

2. ISSUE: An unknown error has occurred
Seems to be anaconda/kickstart.py related issue

Any ideas how to install minimal?

Make sure you are not using the VMWare "Wizard" thing that tries to automate installs for you. Just attach the iso to the VM and boot it without the VMWare "help".
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!
