Hey everyone,
I'm trying to get vino working on CentOS 8. It worked fine on CentOS 7. However, in CentOS 8 it keeps saying "X11 is not detected".
I've verified that X11 is in fact installed. Given that vino comes preinstalled, I would have expected it to work out of the box.
I'm running CentOS 8 inside vmware.
Thanks

Re: Vino Not Working - X11 Not Found
I think C8 uses wayland as default.
Maybe you could try to select Xorg in the login screen instead?

That, sir, worked perfectly. Thanks!
Just had to modify /etc/gdm/custom.conf like below and reboot:
WaylandEnable=false
DefaultSession=gnome-xorg.desktop
