Bootable USB with GPT

Post by Mars-x » 2020/05/27 09:43:32

Hi

Unfortunately my NUC 10 doesn't want to boot in UEFI mode with MBR bootable USB (Centos 8 using dd comand). It needs GPT on bootable USB. Is there any way to make bootable USB with GPT?

The CentOS supplied iso images are all UEFI capable and ready to boot on UEFI hardware.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!

CentOS 5 is dead, do not use it.

Yes, but my problem is that HW needs to bootable USB have GPT, in the other case (with MBR) USB drive is not shown on the list of devices to boot from.
Default dd if=Centos*.iso of=/dev/sdb create bootable USB with MBR. And only way to install it is to enable legacy boot.
So I'm trying to find way to get bootable USB with Centos, that will be visible on UEFI boot list - and for that i need bootable USB with Centos on GPT.
