Post by harrywangca » 2020/03/24 16:05:36

HI Team,
I am not loading CentOS 8 1905. trying to configure Gnome 3 desktop. My GDM version 3.28.3
Right now:
1. I want to disable Activities on the top left, it means I need Activities is disabled and not function.
2. I want to hide the very top Panel which contains Activities, time and other logos like power, sound..

Please advise how to?
I tried to download : hidetopbarmathieu.bidon.ca.v68.shell-extension.zip and Hide_Activitiesshay.shayel.org.v8.shell-extension .zip but nor working.

Well I have no idea what you're talking about since I don't use either 8 or gnome3 but I can tell you that 8.0.1905 is not the current supported version which is 8.1.1911 and is the one you should be running. It's a yum update away so you should do that.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!

CentOS 5 is dead, do not use it.
