Here is part of journalctl report:

Dec 04 17:20:34 centos8-test systemd[1]: Timed out waiting for device dev-virtio\x2dports-org.qemu.guest_agent.0.device.
-- Subject: Unit dev-virtio\x2dports-org.qemu.guest_agent.0.device has failed
-- Defined-By: systemd
-- Support: https://access.redhat.com/support

All was perfect in Centos 7

Do you actually use the agent for something or are you just noticing that it gives an error?

Does your guest xml include the required serial port definition as listed in https://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Qemu_guest_agent
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Sure, I need it, because use VM on KVM hypervisor. When I installed it on centos 7 I just made yum install qemu-guest-agent, and didn't change anything in configuration.
Of course, I can make various changes and so on, but I'd like to understand is there support of this feature in centos 8 or not

Moreover:
ls: cannot access '/dev/virtio-ports': No such file or directory

Read the link I posted. You need to define the serial port in the guest xml.

Read the link I posted. You need to define the serial port in the guest xml.
So, it means that installation so easy as "from box" is not possible.

Actually this is generally not true and I think it's bad that you've been misled like that.
On proxmox, for example, this works out of the box as long as you activate the qemu agent on the host's side and just install the package. No further changes need to be made.

Did you have to apply the changes in the aforementioned link for it to work?
