I cant believe this bug was not solved. No matter the 8.1 version, users on 8 version should be able to update from 2019a to 2019b c d...z. WHY users on Centos 8 cant have the update to be made from yum or dnf??? And next year when happens to be released the version 2020a, the users on centos 8 will not get updated automatically??

This is terrible. Centos is becoming trash lately, the SO is slower at each update and the people behind the bug tracker couldnt care less about fixing bugs.

well well well...

https://yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux ... noarch.rpm

Take care!!!
How can I use that file on my CENTOS 8? I mean, everytime I execute "dnf update --refresh" the tzdata is not updating the 2019a file, it never changes to 2019c. How can you force it to change to 2019c?

You could try to download the file and then install it:
yum install tzdata-2019c-1.el8.noarch.rpm

@BShT so what does that mean? People who already installed centos 8.0 will never ever get the timezones's files updated? Despite CENTOS 8.1, 8.2... the tzdata should change no matter what centos version the server is running. tzdata is an app, and it should be able to update its reference files no matter SO version! This is too much stupidity that I cant understand.

It means the update is part of 8.1 and will be available when 8.1 comes out.
