Sudo vulnerability fix

Post by Ian-J-999 » 2021/02/10 08:30:10

Hi,

Can anyone tell me when this vulnerability fix for RHEL (see below) is likely to be available for Centos 6/7 please?

https://access.redhat.com/security/vuln ... B-2021-002

Thanks

Ian

For CentOS 7, it's already out, just yum update to get sudo-1.8.23-10.el7_9.1.x86_64

For CentOS 6, it's out of support and has been for 3 months and there will be no fix.

Since this is not about 8, I have moved it to the 7 forum.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
