CentOS ssg content missing from scap-security-guide-0.1.49-13.el7.centos.noarch package

Post by johnkhord » 2020/11/16 20:22:18

OpenSCAP reports are now breaking on our CentOS 7 servers because /usr/share/xml/scap/ssg/content/ssg*centos*.xml are all missing in the latest package update. I am hoping this is simply an oversight that can be corrected with a package update rather than an intentional removal of the resources needed to generate SCAP reports on CentOS.

Manually copying the files from scap-security-guide-0.1.46-11.el7.centos.noarch.rpm does fix the problem in the short term, but we'd really prefer not to manage this content locally.

You need to report this as a bug on bugs.centos.org.
CentOS 6 will die in November 2020 - migrate sooner rather than later!

CentOS 5 is dead, do not use it.
