Help mitigate itlb_multihit

Post by pendesarapen » 2020/10/15 07:59:01

Hello guys,
Can someone help me how to patch or mitigate this vulnerability? We use greenbone for Vulnerability scanning and this is the only vulnerability left from the report. I already installed latest updates and it still shows "/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/itlb_multihit | Processor vulnerable" which means no mitigation is enabled.

Centos 7 version: CentOS Linux release 7.8.2003 (Core)
Kernel Version: kernel-3.10.0-1127.19.1.el7.x86_64

Thank you in advance,

KDP

Wondering if you resolved this? I'm having the same issue with CentOS 8.

Things I have tried:
Updating kernel to the latest.
Removed/uninstalled old kernels.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
