Not able to ping Gateway

Post by arvind_s@hotmail.com » 2022/03/03 11:12:29

Hi,

I have seen this issue 3 times. We took one SIP line and connected cable to EM2 port in the DELL machine. We configured the defined IP and netmask in em2 and tried to ping Gateway, and it did not work. We contacted Vendor to help. He suggested connecting the same cable to LAPTOP(Windows 10) and try to ping. It worked.

ARP showing IP neighbor MAC address and Vendor also able to see my server MAC address. NO IPTABLES or firewall.

Any suggestion?

No suggestions as you need to post the configuration of how it is all set up for anyone to be able to help.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Are you using NetworkManager, or have you disabled it?

Disabled, This time problem was solved by breaking the Bond configuration, now ARP showing IP is reachable.
