Could not resolve Proxy

Hello,

im a total beginner and i tried to install epel on my CentOS7 VM.

I got the message "Could not resolve Proxy: "MyDNSURL.com;Unknown Error "

Does anyone know where my Problem is ?

If your network is working correctly then all you need to do is run yum --enablerepo=extras install epel-release

If your network is not working correctly then you need to fix it. Are you behind a web proxy? If so then you need to specify some proxy*= parameters in /etc/yum.conf - read man yum.conf and search for 'proxy'.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
