Change the ownership on CIFS path

Hi,


I have installed 2 CentOs VM and I have mounted CIFS network path, where I intend to create the users. I'm creating users in CIFS path successfully, however, I'm not able to change the ownership of the users created in CIFS path.

Is there a way I can change the ownership of the users or user home directory which in in CIFS path. Please help me here.
