SNMPwalk for OIDs

Post by jwitkow1 » 2020/09/30 20:47:36

CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810 (Core)

Installed SNMP
Added to .conf the following:
view systemview included .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10
view systemview included .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16

Run
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public -O e 127.0.0.1

The OiDs aren't listed at all. In fact none at all. What am I missing?

Also ran;
service snmpd restart
chkconfig snmpd on

Just trying to collect interface stats.

You are 2 years out of date, run yum update to get to 7.8 (soon to be 7.9).

Thx. Now I get:

IF-MIB::ifInOctets.1 = Counter32: 202656
IF-MIB::ifInOctets.2 = Counter32: 3060695675
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.1 = Counter32: 202656
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.2 = Counter32: 1702501490

But don't see the OID indicators.

You need -On to get numeric oid output.
