When using "ifconfig" or "ip addr", you can see the name of the network card device, and it is found that the names of different hosts are different. What generation rule is the name based on?

How does the directory "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/" generate files like "ifcfg-enp6s0-1" and why there are configuration files with "-1"?

Thanks Reply !

It's called "predictable interface naming" and is explained on https://access.redhat.com/documentation ... vice_names
