When using "ifconfig" or "ip addr", you can see the name of the network card device, and it is found that the names of different hosts are different. What generation rule is the name based on?
How does the directory "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/" generate files like "ifcfg-enp6s0-1" and why there are configuration files with "-1"?
Thanks Reply !
How the network name and network configuration file are generated?
Re: How the network name and network configuration file are generated?
It's called "predictable interface naming" and is explained on https://access.redhat.com/documentation ... vice_names
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
