I think I'm going to spend some time reconfiguring to what you suggest--one NIC on a dedicated management vlan along with the IPMI.

I also read this article about multiple NIC's on the same vlan. https://access.redhat.com/solutions/30564

That looks cumbersome to configure each time. I did not know that the IP are assigned to host and not each NIC. That might be part of my problem or something similar.

Thanks again for your help on this. Once I reconfigure and do some troubleshooting and hopefully get this working I'll post back my results.
